Install TiviMate

On Android TV or Google TV, install TiviMate from Google Play. On a Fire TV Stick, use the Amazon Appstore if the app is listed, or follow the publisher's official installation instructions.

Start the playlist wizard

Open the app and choose Add playlist. Select the playlist type matching what your provider sent: an M3U playlist address or an Xtream Codes login.

Enter the playlist details

For M3U, type or paste the full URL. For Xtream Codes, enter the server address, username and password exactly as received, then press Next.

Name the playlist and review channels

Give the playlist a name, check the number of channels and categories detected, and choose whether to include films and series if the option is shown.

Check or add the EPG source

TiviMate usually detects the guide automatically. If it does not, open Settings, EPG, and add the EPG (XMLTV) address supplied by your provider.

Update the guide and start watching

Let the guide download, then open the TV screen. Long-press a channel to add it to favourites or hide categories you never watch.

Why people choose TiviMate

Xtream Codes. Enter the server, username and password. This is generally the more comfortable option, because the guide address and the film and series library come with the login.

During the tivimate setup, the wizard shows how many channels it found. If it shows zero, the address is wrong or the subscription is inactive. Type it again carefully, and check that you are not including a space or line break copied from a message.

Getting the TiviMate EPG right

The tivimate epg is the app’s strongest feature, but it only works when the guide data matches the channels. A few points help:

Update interval. In Settings, EPG, you can choose how often the guide refreshes. Once a day is enough for most people.
Days to keep. Keeping fewer past days makes the guide lighter on entry-level devices.
Manual matching. If one channel shows the wrong programme, long-press it and choose the guide entry manually.
Several sources. You can add more than one guide address; TiviMate merges them.

The free version lets you watch live TV with the guide. TiviMate premium adds comfort and power-user features. According to the publisher, these include several playlists, recording, catch-up, favourites management, custom groups and more interface options; check the official feature list because it evolves. Premium is bought through the official companion app on an Android phone and linked to an account.

Two honest remarks. First, premium is optional: many people use the free version for months before deciding. Second, the premium fee is paid to the app publisher, not to your IPTV provider, and it does not change which channels you can watch. Check the official site for the current price.

Limitations

No version for iPhone, Apple TV, Samsung or LG TVs.
On very large playlists, the first load and guide update take time on budget devices.
Recording needs storage space and depends on your device; a USB drive is often required.
Catch-up only works for channels where your provider offers it.
