What data we process
We process a limited set of information, depending on how you use the site:
- Chat messages. The content of your conversation with us, including questions, order details and any screenshots you choose to send.
- Payment confirmation. When you pay by bank transfer or PayPal, we see the information those services show us to match your payment with your order, such as the payer name, the amount and a reference. We never see your full card or banking credentials.
- Contact details you type into the chat. The chat widget may ask for your name and a phone number so we can identify your conversation and reply to you.
- Technical data. Like any website, our servers and the chat service receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and device. The chat uses your IP address to suggest your country’s phone code, which you can change.
- Optional audience measurement. If, and only if, you accept it in the consent banner, we use anonymous audience measurement to understand which pages are useful. If you refuse, it is not loaded.
- Preferences stored in your browser. Your choice of light or dark theme and your consent decision are stored locally in your browser, not on our servers.
We never ask for ID documents, your home address, full card numbers, card security codes or banking passwords. Please do not send them in the chat.
Why we use it
We use your information only to:
- answer your questions before and after an order;
- process your order and deliver your access details;
- provide technical support and handle renewals you request;
- keep the site and the chat secure and working properly;
- understand, in aggregate and only with your consent, how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
How long we keep it
We keep chat conversations and order information for as long as needed to provide the service and support, and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle follow-up questions, renewals or disputes. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. Anonymous audience data, when you have accepted it, is kept in aggregated form. Preferences stored in your browser remain until you clear them.
Who can see it
Your information is accessible only to the people who handle orders and support, and to technical providers that host the site and the chat on our behalf. Those providers process data only to deliver their service to us.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- access the information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information, where we no longer need it to provide a service you have paid for.
To make a request, write to us in the chat or use the options described on our contact page. We may ask a simple question to confirm that the request comes from you. You can also change your audience measurement choice at any time from the consent settings on the site, and clear your browser preferences through your browser settings.
Who is responsible for your data
The business responsible for the data collected on the Canada version of ibplayer.store is the website operator identified in our legal notice. It decides why and how your information is used. For any request about your data, write to us in the chat or through the contact page; where a dedicated email address exists, it is also shown in the legal notice.
Why we are allowed to use your data
Each use of your information by the Canada version of ibplayer.store rests on a specific ground:
- performing your order: handling the order and payment, delivering your login, activation and after-sales support, as set out in our terms;
- your request before ordering: answering your questions in the chat before you buy;
- our legitimate interests: security of the website and chat, preventing abuse, the hosting provider’s technical logs, and keeping a record of conversations in case of a complaint;
- your consent: audience measurement, only if it is switched on and you accept it;
- our accounting obligations: keeping payment and invoicing records for the period required.
Service providers and transfers
The providers actually used by the Canada version of ibplayer.store are listed in the “Service providers and recipients of data” box at the top of this page, together with the data each one receives. The website is hosted by a company based in the United States and the chat is supplied by a specialist provider. Some data may therefore be processed outside Canada. These transfers rely on the contractual safeguards provided by those providers, and each one receives only what it needs for its task. What the website stores in your browser is described in our cookie policy.
Complaints to a regulator
If, after contacting us, you believe the Canada version of ibplayer.store is not respecting your rights over your data, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec. We encourage you to write to us first: most requests are settled quickly in the chat.
Children
The subscriptions sold on the Canada version of ibplayer.store are for adults only. We do not knowingly collect information about children; if you believe a child has sent us information, tell us through the contact page so that we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or tools change. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. For related information, see our terms of service and our disclaimer.
